Short version: your bill stays with you, we don’t track you, and we won’t pretend to be your lawyer.

Privacy

  • Your bill stays on your device. The bill checker and letters run in your browser. Uploaded bills are read on your device and never sent to us.
  • What you type is kept in this browser tab only, so it can carry from the checker to your letter. Closing the tab erases it.
  • No accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party trackers or fonts.
  • We will never ask for your utility account password.
  • When the “we file it for you” service opens, we will collect only what a complaint needs, keep it only until the complaint closes, and then delete it. We will update this page before that happens.

Terms

  • Not legal advice. Energy Justice gives general information and fill-in-the-blank templates. L8Stage is not a law firm, does not give legal advice, and does not represent anyone in a hearing or lawsuit.
  • No promised outcome. A flag from the bill checker is a reason to ask questions, not proof of an overcharge. Utilities and state commissions decide complaints. We never promise a refund.
  • Filing for you only with your signed OK. We will not submit anything on your behalf without your signed authorization, and you can cancel it at any time.
  • The fee is optional. Everything needed to file is free. The optional $5 filing service can be waived by anyone, with no proof needed.
